MASC helps to improve leadership skills, encourage student activity, and motivate students by hosting numerous events throughout the year.

The MASC year is kicked off by two events in the fall. President’s Dinner, a dinner provided to Student Council Presidents from across the Commonwealth, is held annually at an MASC member School. Officershop, one of three major annual events, is held at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester. These two events mark the start of a new school year for MASC and help to prepare Student Council Officers for the year to come.

During the spring, MASC students and advisors convene in Hyannis for the MASC Annual Spring Conference. This three-day conference trains and celebrates the student leaders of MASC and is a highlight of the MASC year.

In an effort to give back to the state of Massachusetts and encourage student service, MASC participates as an organization in Project Bread’s Walk for Hunger. This event, held in May in Boston, is the oldest continual pledge walk in the country and works to provide food to thousands of needy Massachusetts citizens.

The MASC Summer Leadership Conference, known to delegates as simply “Camp,” is a five-day leadership conference held at Stonehill College in Easton. Here, students learn leadership skills and network through high energy workshops, team games, and presentations from motivational speakers.
